Biography Performers

Ingrid Shllaku

After graduating in Violin, she obtained a Master degree in Musical Disciplines, with Violin Performance and Composition specialization.
She completed her studies under the guidance of Maestros Enzo Porta, Giovanni Guglielmo, Andrzej Grabiec, Alessandro Moccia and, as regards chamber music, with Alain Meunier.
She worked for the “Orchestra Filarmonica di Udine”, the “Orchestra dell’Accademia di S.Giorgio” of Venice, the “Orchestra Sinfonica del Friuli Venezia Giulia”, the “Mitteleuropa Orchestra del Friuli Venezia Giulia”, where she is first violin and has also covered the role of leader.
Since 2006 she has regularly worked with the chamber orchestra “I Virtuosi Italiani” of Verona.

Marco Toso

Born in a Venice, he studied at the “B.Marcello” Conservatory in Venice and graduated in violin in 1991 under the guidance of Maestro G. Bonzagni.
He then studied with Mario Cristescu and Dean Bogdanovich, and attended master classes held by Franco Gulli in Castelfranco Veneto.
In 1993 he was one of the founders of the string quartet “Talia”, with whom he won First Prize in the quartet category at the “XI Rassegna Musicale Città di Genova”, First Prize in the quintet category at the “XI Rassegna Musicale Città di Genova”, Second Prize at the “Città di Racconigi” competition, Second Prize at the ”Città di Cento” competition (First Prize unassigned) and was also the winner at the first edition of “Gradus ad Parnassum”, which confers concerts at the Chiesa della Pietà in Venice. In 1993 he won an EEC scholarship for the specialization course for string quartet and chamber music held by the “Nuovo Quartetto Italiano” in Treviso. With the “Talia” quartet he attended the course held by Maestro Piero Farulli in Fiesole and at the “Accademia Chigiana” in Siena. In 1996 he was awarded a Diploma of Merit from the “Accademia Chigiana”.
He collaborates with several chamber ensembles, like: “Virtuosi dell’Ensemble di Venezia”, “Interpreti Veneziani”, “Orchestra di Venezia”, “Accademia Vivaldiana”, “Offerta Musicale”, with whom he has performed in France, Switzerland, Austria, England, Germany, Luxembourg, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Turkey and in the major Italian cities, holding the role of Artistic Director in the “Orchestra di Venezia” from 1996 to 2000.

In 2001 and 2003, in the role of leader in the “Orchestra di Venezia”, he performed in the major Japanese concert halls: International Forum, Opera city, Century hall, Yokohama Minato Mirai Hall. Furthermore, since 2003 he has played in Duo (Violin and Piano) with the pianist Rossella Candotto.
He collaborates with several orchestras like “Mitteleuropa Orchestra”, “Orchestra del Teatro Olimpico di Vicenza”, “Orchestra Filarmonia Veneta Gian Francesco Malipiero”, “Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto”. In January 2005 he was selected by Maestro Tiziano Severini as leader of the second violins in the “Orchestra Sinfonica del Friuli Venezia Giulia”. Since 2014 he has been leader of the second violins in “Mitteleuropa Orchestra” of FVG.
He has taught violin at the music school “Il Pentagramma” in Oriago (VE) since 2000.
He collaborates with the music Conservatories “J.Tomadini” of Udine and “B.Marcello” of Venice.

Margherita Cossio

She graduated in viola in 1995 from the Conservatory of Udine , then studied with J. Levitz and D. Rossi and obtained a three-year Diploma in High Specialization from the “Fiesole School of Music” with Maestro Hatto Beyerle ( historical viola of the “Alban Berg Quartet”) . She attended master classes given by St. Briatore and W. Christ ( Principal viola of the “Berlin Philharmoniker”)
Following an audition, from 1999 to 2002 she played as the principal viola in the “Camerata Strumentale di Prato”, on several occasions conducted by Maestro Riccardo Muti .
She successfully auditioned for the viola concertino for the “Teatro La Fenice” in Venice and for the “Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto”, for principal viola for the “Orchestra Sinfonica del Friuli Venezia Giulia”, for viola di fila for “Teatro Olimpico” in Vicenza, for “Orchestra Filarmonia Veneta”. She also passed the selections for viola di fila of the Orchestra Sinfonica di Roma and Teatro Verdi in Trieste, and was finalist at the Accademia di Santa Cecilia in Rome and Carlo Felice in Genoa .
She has regularly played in the “Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto” and in the “Orchestra of Teatro La Fenice di Venezia”, “Teatro Regio di Parma”, “Teatro Verdi di Trieste” and also as principal viola in the “Orchestra Internazionale d’Italia”; she also collaborates with “Filarmonica della Fenice” and with “Orchestra d’Archi Italiana” conducted by Mario Brunello. She played with the “Orchestra Symphonica Toscanini” conducted by L. Maazel until closing, and with the chamber orchestra of Mantua. She took part in numerous tours with these orchestras in Japan , China , Korea, Brazil , Argentina , Chile , Uruguay.
She was principal viola in “Orchestra Sinfonica del Friuli Venezia Giulia” and is currently principal viola in the “FVG Mitteleuropa Orchestra”.
She played in chamber music ensembles for the concerts broadcast live by “Radio Tre” from Quirinale with the “Ensemble Sergio Gaggia” and is a member of the “Turing Quintett” . She is a member of the trio “Ensemble Variabile”, with which she performed in concerts for the musical seasons of “Teatro Dal Verme” (MI), “Emilia Romagna Festival”, “Carniarmonie”, “Estate Musicale di Portogruaro”, “Festival Pontino di Sermoneta”, “Fondazione Pablo Casals” in Spain, “Festival Le Stagioni Musicali” in France.
